Process
How it works
Four steps, in a fixed order. You see the hospital, the date and the full cost in writing before you commit to anything.
Send your request
Tell us the exam you need (MRI, CT or PET-CT), the body area, and when you plan to be in China. If a doctor has referred you, say so and quote the wording of the referral.
Get a written quote
We reply with the hospital, the appointment date and every cost in writing. Nothing is booked until you accept.
The quote lists every cost, so you can see what the scan itself costs and what our service covers.
Attend your scan
The exam is performed by the hospital's own radiology staff. Before the day, we send you the hospital's preparation instructions, for example on fasting or what to wear.
Bring your passport. The hospital decides on the day whether the exam goes ahead as planned, including whether contrast is used.
Your quote states what support you have on the day, so you know before you travel.
Take your results home
You receive your images as DICOM files and the radiologist's report in English, together with the original Chinese report.
The English report is a translation. Take it, with the images, to your own doctor to discuss what it means for you.
Your quote states how and when the files and the report reach you.
Before you travel
Three things only you can check.
- Entry rules
- Visa rules depend on your nationality and they change. Check with the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country.
- Your own doctor
- Ask whether they will work from a scan and report made abroad, and which exam they want.
- Safety questions
- Implants, kidney disease, pregnancy and earlier reactions to contrast all matter. Each scan page lists what to tell the hospital.
